Homemade Honey Lemonade

A Fresh, Naturally Sweetened Summer Drink

🍽 Servings: 5 Prep Time: 10 Mins

There’s something so joyful about making lemonade with the kids. This version is sweetened with honey instead of sugar. Since the honey settles quickly, I like to pour it into mason jars with these fun drinking lids. The jars are easy for kids to grab, and with colorful pour-spout lids, everyone can shake up their own lemonade before drinking. The different lid colors also make it easy for kids to remember which jar is theirs.
For large gatherings, fill a drink bucket with ice, nestle the jars inside, and set out glass markers so everyone can write their name on their jar.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, from about 6–8 lemons

  • ½ cup honey

  • 5 cups cold water

  • Optional garnish: fresh lemon slices, lime slices, or fresh lavender

🔪 Instructions

  1. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice into a large measuring cup.

  2. Add the honey to the lemon juice and stir until thoroughly combined.

  3. Fill a pitcher with 5 cups of cold water.

  4. Stir in the honey-lemon mixture until combined.

  5. Pour immediately into small mason jars with lids, or serve from the pitcher.

  6. Garnish with fresh lemon slices, lime slices, or a small sprig of lavender if desired.

  7. Shake or stir before serving, since the honey may settle over time.
