Registered Nurse, VA

Education:
B.S. Nursing, George Mason University

Bio:

Bethanie is a dedicated Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner student with a passion for holistic, relationship-centered healthcare. A Virginia native, she earned her BSN from George Mason University in 2002 and began her career as an Emergency Room nurse, spending 10 years serving the Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland communities. She then transitioned to working as an advice nurse for Kaiser Permanente for another decade.

Seeking a deeper connection to patient care, Bethanie followed her heart to Premier Birth Center, where she served as a Registered Nurse Birth Assistant for five years. She continues to live her "dream job" by assisting private homebirth midwives, witnessing and celebrating the miracle of new life.

Beyond her clinical work, Bethanie has spent the last seven years studying and teaching about essential oils, sharing how they can support health and well-being. She has a special passion for helping pregnant mothers, laboring women, and newborns incorporate oils into their care.

A devoted Christ follower, wife, and mother of eight children, Bethanie’s life is deeply rooted in faith, family, and service. She homeschools seven of her children and has a unique perspective as the mother of a severely disabled child, two adopted children, and one stillborn child. She uses these experiences to pour compassion and care into others, whether through her work in healthcare, her active participation in her church and community, or her gift for hospitality.

Bethanie loves gardening, crafting, creating, and making her home a place of beauty and welcome. With a passion for preparing meals tailored to dietary needs—especially given her children’s severe food allergies—she ensures everyone feels comfortable and cared for at her table.

As she pursues her dream of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Bethanie remains committed to bringing meaningful change to healthcare. She believes in truly knowing her patients, caring for the whole person, and fostering genuine relationships—one life, one connection at a time.
